SAMUEL EISENSTADT SIGNS FOR THE BARCELONA DRAGONS

Feb 11, 2023

Samuel Eisenstadt (Fair Haven, New Jersey. 1996) is already the new Defensive Back Assistant Coach of the Barcelona Dragons.

Despite his youth, the coach accumulates experience in his excellent resume. As a player, he was the Defensive Back at Fair Haven HS, earning first-team All-Shore Conference accolades and helping it to the 2014 state title, during which, he won championship MVP. Later, he attended Elon University in North Carolina, where he earned CAA Academic All-Conference honors as a freshman. Unfortunately, he suffered a concussion that ended his short career in 2016. But Eisenstadt was not going to give up. He just traded in the helmet for the Playbook and began his coaching career at Elon, where he was assistant defensive back coach.

Little by little he was evolving and perfecting his ideas, until he landed in Sweden to sign with the Örebro Black Knights. There, his career was catapulted and he managed to be a national champion as Head Coach of the team in 2021, being named coach of the year. In 2022, he packed his bags and came to Spain to be the coach of Las Rozas Black Demons. With the Madrid team he was able to proclaim himself the brand-new champion of the Spanish Cup this past December.

I’m very excited for this opportunity to train with the Dragons. I look forward to coaching talented players and being part of the best American football league in Europe“, Eisenstadt said. “It will be a great challenge in the Central Conference! There are many skilled clubs that we will face, my goal is to do everything in my power to help the Dragons build a great culture and experience success on the field this season“, concluded the American.
