LUKE GLENNA, THIRD NORTH AMERICAN SIGNIGN OF THE DRAGONS

Dec 30, 2022

Luke Glenna (Edina, Minnesota, USA. 2000) joins the Barcelona Dragons and becomes the entity’s third North American signing after Darius Slade and Conor Miller.

The Defensive Back (DB) has grown up sportingly at the University of Saint Thomas, where he was from 2018 to 2022. He already pointed ways in his first year as a student, where he had four interceptions, two touchdowns, 17 tackles and forced a fumble.

Last season was the most outstanding for the young player. He played every game with the Tommies -nickname for the University of Saint Thomas- and went on to accumulate 68 tackles, six pass breakups and four interception returns for a total of 53 yards. That season he led the team to first place in the All-Pioneer Football League, and Glenna was honored as one of the best players in the league. In fact, he was selected National Defensive Player of the Week in October and was named to the Associated Press (AP) All-American second team.
