Conor Miller (USA, 1995) signs for the Barcelona Dragons and becomes the fifth reinforcement to play the European League of Football 2023.
The Quarterback (QB) began his career at Florida Atlantic University (NCAA, DI), but quickly made a name for himself on the European scene, being one of the most sought-after Qb’s on the Old Continent. In 2019 he played for the Cologne Crocodiles of the GFL (German Football League), and two years later, he signed with the Austrian Graz Giants. There, Miller set the AFL (Austrian Football League) on fire, reaching the semifinals and getting 2,170 passing yards and 23 touchdowns in just eight games, being the best quarterback by yards.
Last season, he signed with the French La Courneuve Flash, where he went on to win the league, racking up 1,422 passing yards and 18 touchdowns. Plus, he was selected for Team USA and already knows what it’s like to play in the European League of Football with the Leipzig Kings, where they named him team captain just a week after he arrived.
“For me this is a dream since he was a child, since he played a video game called Maden from 2003 with the Dragons. It is a great honor to represent the best city in the world. When I spoke with Bart [owner of the entity] I was able to see his perspective and vision of the franchise, and I really want to be a part of it all”, Miller said in perfect Spanish. To which he added: “I’m very happy to be in Catalonia, looking forward to working with my teammates and meeting the best fans in the league. Thank you very much for the opportunity and Força Dragons!”.
