Benjamin Dixon (England, 1998) joins the Barcelona Dragons to compete in the European League of Football in 2023.
The Offensive Lineman (OL) is the fourth reinforcement of the Catalan entity. Despite his young age, Dixon played in the Carnegie American Football for four years, where he managed to be the BUCS national champion in 2019. In addition, two seasons ago, he wore the shirt of the Sheffield Giants, being the Offensive MVP of the competition. In the 2022 campaign, he changed the United Kingdom for Germany, signing for the Hamburg Huskies, a GFL2 (German Football League 2) team.
“I’m delighted to join the Dragons and have the opportunity to compete at the highest level in Europe. I’m excited to get to work and continue to build on the winning culture already established in Barcelona”, said the Englishman after his signing. “I look forward to meeting my teammates and putting on a great show for the Go Dragons fans!”, Dixon concluded.
